Training and Support for Celebrants

The Australian Celebrant Network was established to deliver ongoing professional development (OPD) to registered civil and religious celebrants in Australia and it’s territories in accordance with the requirements of The Commonwealth Attorney-General.

The Celebrant Network will assist you to complete all your requirements via distance education.

In 2008 -9 there will be some changes to how the professional development program is being offered by the AG's department. However the basics will stay the same. Each celebrant must complete a minimum of five hours and two approved activities by the end of August 2009. An activity can only be claimed once in any five-year period. Certificates for compleated Distance Acitivites undertaken with us during the 2008-9 year will be posted out during August 2009.

Any celebrants waiting for certificates for the 2007-8 year can be assured that they are being finalised and will be posted out during Sept 2008 in time for your submission deadline of October 2008.
